ShippedA living timeline of what's shipped, what's in the works, and what's coming. No corporate roadmap here, just what we are actually doing.

ShippedThe new asset store is open. Browse pixel-art sprites and animations, collect free assets, and download your collection from My Assets.
ShippedA smoother account and community experience, with creator portfolio management, shareable public portfolios, Supporter badges, and more readable price tags.
ShippedThe Pixel Rig Engine beta is live. Import pixel-art sprites or send artwork from the Pixel Editor, build skeletal rigs with bones, IK, and Flex deformation, then pose, keyframe, and export animations that keep every pixel crisp.
ShippedThe biggest addition to the pipeline this year. You can stack over 18 live WebGL fragment shaders like outline, glow, CRT, bloom, dither, and scanlines onto any sprite, reorder them live, then bake the result straight to PNG. It is a brand new standalone creative tool.
ShippedDrop a tileset and edges fill themselves. Corner detection just works now.
ShippedSee adjacent frames ghosted behind your current one while editing in the Pixel Editor.
ShippedIdle, walk, and attack animations come from pure math.
ShippedSame ghost frame idea, brought directly into the animation workflow.
ShippedPer-chunk meshing with face culling. Big scenes stay smooth.
ShippedBuild beats with the built-in instrument library. Solo, mute, mix.
ShippedBring your own sounds into the sequencer and mix them with the built-in instruments.
ShippedPaint symmetrically across X, Y, or both. Great for characters and tiles.
ShippedA brand new standalone tool for building layered paper cutout artwork with skeletal bone rigs and a keyframe timeline. Design pieces, pose rigs, animate, and export PNG frames, sprite sheets, sequences, and GIFs. Early access is live now with a massive 2.5 update shipping this week, including auto keyframing, rig diagnostics, live export preview, crash recovery, and full accessibility.
ShippedThe Tilemap Editor is here and ready for use. Create your own tilesets and build maps with them, or upload a tileset of your own and paint your maps with that instead. We hope everyone enjoys this new tool as much as we do!
ShippedThe inaugural PixloMotive Community Art Contest runs August 7 through 21, 2026 with a 425 USD prize pool across 8 winners.
In ProgressKeep several canvases open at the same time and move between them freely, so animating across tilesets and characters feels quick and natural instead of a tab switching chore.
In ProgressDrag frames around, set per-frame durations. Full timeline control.
In ProgressSet the mood on your voxel scenes with lighting presets.
In ProgressExport your patterns as audio files or shareable pattern data.
In ProgressBringing more of the desktop tools to phones and tablets.
In ProgressModernizing the site experience across the website, from navigation and layout to how you discover and use PixloMotive.
In ProgressPolishing everyday workflows and improving usability across the workspace tools.
In ProgressDrag assets from any tool like worlds, characters, animations, sounds, and images onto one master canvas. See everything at once, arrange it, and export the whole thing together.
PlannedPull multiple assets from different workspace tabs into the master canvas in a single drag. Mix pixel art, voxel scenes, sprites, and audio side by side.
PlannedConnect scenes together into navigable world graphs.
PlannedBring animations to the Tilemap Editor so tiles can come alive right on the map.
PlannedAdd music and sound effects to the Tilemap Editor so your maps can sound as good as they look.
